One Man Team?

Is Wenger winning over the crowd?

@CoulingKnows 03/02/2015

Another weekend gone and another good result for the gunners. Three Big wins on the trot. First turning over Man City at the Etihad with Santi Cazorla stealing the show. A brute force win with trickery from Rosicky to knock Brighton out of the Fa Cup away at the Amex followed by one Arsenals best performances this season.
Aston Villa at home normally lead to a comfortable win for the Gunners with the slight exception of last years opening game of the season where we were taught a lesson at our own ground. That last performance was awful. It was a game i had to follow on the radio as i was on my way to my holidays and i persevered with the commentary when really i should have turned over to heart and sung tears for fears "everybody wants to rule the world" while making my way down the M3. That week turned out to be the week i meet the most Aston villa fans. Before then i think i knew 2 people that supported them and then all of a sudden BANG. Villa shirts on everyone for that week. I still sported my Arsenal shirts and knew (well was wishing) that things would get a lot better.

I have been on Twitter for a few years now and have a good 3.5K following on there and it was full of #WengerOut tweets. We were all upset after a dismal display especially after waiting all summer for the season the start. The Wenger out Brigade became very apparent on my timeline and i could understand why they felt this/that should happen but all in all most of what i could see was people wanting Wenger to jack it in. I on the other hand think Arsene is an exceptional manager and wanted him to stay.

The Stadium move was good for the club but bad for finances. Arsene didn't have the millions upon millions to spend on the superstars back then but still managed to finish within the top 4. It was a difficult 9 years trophy less while chelsea and man united kept grabbing up their honors. But you have to look at the consistency of a club who had to balance the books, no excuse i know but when a coach has to look at his bench and you see the likes of William Gallas, Squillaci, Gervinho, Arshavin, Bendter, Mikael Silvestre, Park and Andre Santos over the years you have to wonder how on earth did he manage it?
Hardly a team that can challenge 2009/2010 squad

Now that money is available i cannot help but step back, look at the squad and wear an ear to ear smile on my face. This is when Arsenal will go back to big boy status. When we Signed Ozil i was shocked mainly for 2 reasons. First reason was the fee Arsenal agreed to pay and the second was how did we talk a player like that into leaving Madrid to come play with us on London!? But it happened and thats all that matters. Sanchez is another, best player in the league this season. A fantastic player signed from barcelona for £35M, again a big fee for a big player. Ospina who shone in the world cup, Welbeck who is a starting 11 player for England, Debuchy arguably the star player for Newcastler last year and two more new arrivals in Gabriel and Bielik.

New Signings 2014/15
With Sanchez being the stand out player this season we had all the haters throwing the old "one man team" accusation our way. The Villa game proved that wrong with 5 different goal scorers!

This is the turning point for Arsenal, i thought this would be apparent with the cup win last year. Opinions are opinions and every one has there own and im sure there is a long line of people who disagree with me but the only think i really really want to see is "gooners" to enjoy arsenal wins. We spent so long gloomy from losing now its time to feel your boots! I see people who must dislike Arsenal winning just so they cant have a pop.

You all need to follow @gideonuzochukw7 , i tweet him on occasions because if there is ever someone who is full of doom and gloom and dislikes Wenger, its this guy.

I am just happy we are starting to spank teams on the regular again. I believe the Fa Cup is ours this year and aiming high as always, champions league semi finals.

Call it what you want but in my eyes the glass is always half full.

Speak soon people, Take care and get ready for the spud bashing on Saturday!
