Should Rosicky and Diaby still be Arsenal Players?

@CoulingKnows 03/03/2015

We all love the Tomas Rosicky, every Arsenal fan has a good word to say about the player. He has been at the club for nearly 9 years now and in that time he has only lifted 1 Fa Cup and 1 charity shield with the Gunners.

I had a long hard think about his situation the other day and i thought i would share it with you. A player who can score, assist and grab a game by the scruff of the neck is a player who will always be wanted by other clubs. I cannot think of any Transfer saga's involving Rosicky but i am sure behind the scenes there would have been a few.

He dedicated his career to Arsenal and has signed every contract they put in front of him. I feel a player of that stature should have plenty more winners medals and he would of had the pickings for any club he wanted back in the late 00's. Loyalty will always prove popular with the fans but as a supporter of the club i feel we have been so so lucky that a player who has limited playing time has stayed for soo long. The fact that there is only 2 winners medals for him in my eyes is appaling.

Another player who has been at the club for a long amount of time is Diaby. We all know the about the injuries he has sustained at the club and its very sad he has only made 124 appearances for the club in 9 years. One of his most recent games i remember was Liverpool away back in September 2012 where Arsenal won 2-0 thanks to Podolski and Cazorla bagging their first Arsenal goals. Diaby in midfield that day was a monster. Bossed the play and held off every player that came anywhere near him. Very Patrick Vieira like. An excellent performance. It has to be times like these that sticks in the back of Wengers mind and keeps him at the club because in all honesty he should have been released a long time ago. Should he ever be able to get over the injury problems (which i really hope he does) i would love to see those long gangely legs bossing the play more regular.

So all in all what do we owe ol'Tomo? I know a few million a year always sweetens the deal for him but i feel there is a debt owed to a player who has stuck with the club and with the exception of a few games over the years. (remember him smiling when that free kick when flying in against us?)

Let me know what you think as i think he will still have a few years left in those legs even though he is 34 he is still the "little mozart".
