3 Points never come easy
Arsenal 2 - Leicester 1 - Emirates Stadium
@Coulingknows 11/02/2015
I sat down last night after finishing a very nice pasta and got myself ready to watch the Arsenal match and i predicted we would play them off the park. I am currently on my third day of non smoking and i have also given up the booze in January so straight forward victories make this difficult time just a little easier. Obviously as i support Arsenal i should have known this wasn't going to happen and i would have a very agitating time watching Arsenal "hang on" at HOME to a team who is bottom of the Barclay's Premier league.
As a supporter, Arsenal is a team you love to hate at times. What should be a simple win results in a "squeeky bum 15mins". You don't need that sort of entertainment. It is no wonder the media take the piss really. When you have Piers Morgan as a "fan" who shares his views, to which i don't think many people share, it just bends the club over to await a good shunting by that bellend Steve Howard from The Sun. He is why i cannot read The Sun, i think the guy is a joke.
Moving on. Arsenal started with a strong line up and looked comfortable with Kos opening the scoring and Theo doubling the lead. Half time, happy days. I was picturing the Villa scoreline all over again.
After the break something gave Leicester a swift kick and after booting the life out of our players they slowly transformed into Stoke City and and charged forward. Arsenal feeling the pressure, started to make mistakes and for some unknown reason they get stuck 2 thirds up the pitch and cannot create a chance for love nor money. Now its time to panic, they have pulled one back and we are showing no intent at all, never look like scoring but have a 1 goal lead and they cannot let that go!
Ramsey picks up another Injruy |
Ramsey then comes running on beard and all and in 10 mins and he picks up another injury. This doesn't look good, when something makes you stop straight away you know its bad. So Ramsey back off and on comes Flamini. Panic increasing, players being caught out high up the pitch. Final Whistle, relief and then we all tweet and show our disgust at the sides performance. The tweeting bit is very regular, we all love when we win and we all bitch when we lose, i cant handle the bitching. A grown man trying to come up with an excuse as to why the football team he supports lost, its never a good look.
3 Points is what we needed and even though we made a song and dance about it, 3 points is what we got. Time to watch spurs as they kicked off later. As soon as i turned it over i think it was about 83 minutes played and the incredible, super Mario Balotelli scored his first premier league of the season. Donkey or not he put Liverpool 3-2 up against the Spuds and they eventually won the match. Now sit back and watch all the Tweets and pictures roll in on your time line. Spurs were above Arsenal a whole 3 days! Still cannot believe we lost on the weekend but at least we are back to normality.
Stay Strong!! |
As i said im currently trying to quit smoking, on day 3 at the moment and finding it difficult, i am not going to lie. I have developed new skills by not smoking though, i can snap your head off in about 2 seconds flat and insult your family if you try and be funny. Apparently its called a temper but i never knew i had one!? I am sure this will die down when we get rid of the idiots that walk the planet so i should be fine..... one day.
FA Cup this weekend and i am expecting a tough match against Middlesborough, we all know they are far from push overs and being third in the Championship shows good form. We should be good for the victory but another nail biter should we concede. But then again wheres the fun if your not dying in your seat aye?
Also i thought i would share a book with you that i received for Christmas. The Arsenal Shirt. Glossy book full of History and shows off a very impressive match worn shirt collection. I was only aware of the book when i won a Match worn Koscielny shirt from 3 seasons ago. Fantastic read or present for any Gooner. Follow them on Twitter @TheArsenalShirt . Mine is currently held by my boy but i am hoping to get this back soon enough.
Straggling on the Twitter front at the moment so if you feel there is anyone who is worth following or any top accounts you feel go missed let me know!
Again please share, comment, subscribe to the little bit at the bottom (No idea how that works) and enjoy....
