Looking ahead

Fa Cup Romance

@CoulingKnows 16/02/2015

Amazing how a weekend just fly past you. It was another FA Cup weekend with another upset and i do not think i can recall a season where so many lower league teams were slaying the "big guns". Bradford again marching past premier league opposition with Sunderland being the team tumbling out of the cup. West Brom blasted 4 past West ham and i did not see that result coming at all. I thought west ham would have that in the bag!? Even though we all know the bookies make a killing off weekends like these, you cannot help but sit back and enjoy the upsets. Unless its your team losing of course.

Bradford still upsetting the big teams
As an Arsenal supporter, drawing a team who are playing very well in the championship and who also knocked out Man City in the previous round i had no worries at all and knew we would walk the into the Quarter finals with smiles across our faces singing "there's only one Arsene Wenger!" Obviously that previous statement is Bullshit. When you support Arsenal its like having back that nutty Ex Girlfriend that made you sigh in relief when you was finally set free from the nut job that she was. You have no idea what they are going to be like. Same as Arsenal, look at the last 2 away games in the league. Ran the show at Man City and they are currently champions, then lose after playing really badly in the north London derby. If we didnt follow Arsenal we would all look a lot younger, which for me would be a nightmare as i am 25 looking like i am pushing 17.

Even still it was a very good performance. The current midfield is the best we have had in years. Ozil who has been very impressive since coming back, Cazorla running the show in midfield and probably overall becoming one of the best midfielders in the league and then the super Chilean in Sanchez.

Ozil, Cazorla and Sanchez

Last cup game at the Madejski
I remember when we had a midfield with that many game changers in it. Gabriel also made is debut and reacted well when called upon and yeah i think he looks good. Will give Per a run for his money. The full back competition is refreshing to see at last. Monreal playing really well and Gibbs wants that spot back. With Debuchy out its also between Chambers and Bellerin who are both fantastic young players. Currently very happy with the squad just need Giroud and Welbeck to work together and i think we will push very far. As for sanchez i suggest they just leave him to it, does a cracking job everytime he steps on the pitch. So Arsenal made it through with 2 first half Giroud goals. Awiating the draw i dont think it matters who you draw as you need to beat everyone to win it, no matter who you draw. I personally want Reading away purely for the fact last time Arsenal played away in the cup at the Madejski it was 7-5 to Arsenal after being 4-1 down at half time. In all honesty though i do not care who we draw because i still believe we can retain this cup.

Now im not sure how many other fella's lost their other halves to this 50 shades of grey film in the cinema over the weekend but i was lucky enough to end up having a few hours to myself Friday night. I kicked back, turned on Fifa and got ABSOLUTELY caned all night. pretty sure i was playing 13/14 year olds but they were skilling me up with Neymar and Ibra and i lost my rag. Im not a person who usually loses my temper but when it comes to Fifa, i will tear your bollocks off. I am sure most of you can relate to this and the point that pushes me over the edge when it comes to any Fifa is when your other half says "Its only a game". So i ruined my free night in on my own by becoming angry. Wankers.

I have started becoming more social on Twitter this week so i can get to know a few of my followers and one guy that stuck in my mind who has a blog that is definatley worth a read is a fella called Adam "@ArsenalAdam23", nice guy and worth a follow. I reached 4 thousand followers earlier this week and dying to do a few more bits Youtube, Podcast etc...

I have not really had any feedback from this so unsure if these posts are enjoyed or just a load of bollocks with me blowing my own trumpet so any feedback is greatly welcomed, good or bad.

One person i need to mention this week as i feel what he has done is absolutely superb is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He removed his top after scoring for PSG last weekend to unvale a torso full of names tattooed on his body. This is to promote the problem with hunger around the world and to help push the support for the world food programme. I have attached the video below. Hats off to him.

Another installment due in a couple of days and in the meantime, stop what your doing and laugh at Tottenham!!!
