And finally Arsenal are off and running

So Arsenal managed to get 3 points on the board. One hell of a game away at Crystal Palace. Lets be honest Palace didn't give it up easily. When they started signing players like Cabaye you knew this was a team on the up and under Pardew they look to have a bright and successful future. Arsenal were still too much for them on this occasion.

It was an "arsehole blowing kisses" game in my eyes. We looked so shaky defensively and it wasn't the once either. Zaha was giving Monreal a hard time and it looked to be only a matter of time before Cech was going to be called in for action.

Ozil on the other hand had a very good game. We saw him sprint, all be it offside. He was making runs here there and everywhere. The assist for Giroud was perfect. Hidden passes and defenders chasing shadows after the tender touch from Ozil's right foot sent them looking. It was not Arsenal's best performance but it got the job done and that is something they need to do if they stand any chance of winning the league. Win the gritty games and the points keep on coming.

Now after the Arsenal result I had to watch the blockbuster fixture of the day which was Chelsea away to Manchester City who I thought would have a tough time this season with an ageing squad. How wrong was I!? Chelsea looked poor and Aguero nearly tore the defence a new arsehole if it wasn't for the classy Begovic making some quality saves. Even Aguero shook his hand after one shot as it was that good.

Unfortunately for Begovic his move to Chelsea may see him rot on the bench as Courtios is favoured as number 1. Begovic has the calibre of player who should be playing week in week out. Shame really.

Even still, Chelsea looked no where as good as they should have been as Champions. At half time John Terry was pulled and then they just imploded. Fernandinho twatted Diego Costa which was my highlight of the game. He is a good striker, I will not take that away from him but if there is a player you could wish to hit, It would be Diego Costa.

Kompany showing age isn't a problem with his second goal of the season and second clean sheet. They will be a force this season and I think managers will be watching their matches with great interest as the Etihad may become a fortress once again.

Liverpool at home on Monday so its a worry free weekend, lets hope we can put on the same display as last years meeting.

Cheers People!
