Happy Monday everyone! Well i say "happy". I have this week off work unfortunately for me its pissing down. In Britain we all know regardless of time of year, if you think it may rain it will f**king rain.
But still, this evening we see Arsenal walk out into the Emirates to host Liverpool. We all remember last time these 2 met. Arsenal ran out winners after cooking up and handing over a freshly cooked Brendan rodgers asshole. The gunners mullered them and Sterling was apparently on the pitch that game? I think i saw him once peering out of Hector Bellerin's back pocket. Just the once though.
This time round i think we may have it slightly harder, just a feeling i have even though i hope i am wrong. Last season the scousers had a rough year. Raheem Sterling was stalling over a contract, subway increased Sturridge's working hours and Steve Gerrard broke the news that he would be leaving at the end of the season.
Now i do feel for a club when they lose a legend but in that case i really couldnt care less. Shame to lose Gerrard from the premier league but personally i thought he should have made a move earlier in his career. When Liverpool ballsed up after the Gerrard slip i was in my element as the amount of shit i got from their fans was unbelieveable. Well as another year beckons for them and another god knows how many millions have been spent i can only hope they follow the suit and fail once more.
Arsenal on the other hand are not in their gleaming form they ended last season in. something is not working and its down to Mr Wenger to resolve that. The sooner the better. Would be nice to a clean sheet for cech i have to say but with Benteke up front that will be one hell of a challenge this evening. Coquelin has to sort himself out and play sensible this evening as those cards will only stack up and you dont want to lose anybody to a suspension when we are bound to have injury troubles again.
I posted on Twitter earlier today who people think Liverpool's danger man would be Coutinho came up top trumps if he plays centre. He will give Coquelin a nightmare with his pace.
I also asked for score predictions and as most of my followers are Gooners it is one sided i cannot lie.
@RebelGuy64 went for 3-1, @FACup2015Winner went for 2-1 whilst @Muthieahd and @BletzRizzle both went for a very optimistic 4-0 to the might gunners. All Twitter usernames and all good accounts so ive them a follow.
Personally i think it will be a close fixture with arsenal pipping it so im going for a 2-1 win as still think that the defence is still too shaky.
I also want to take this chance to mention a very good friend of mine, Loyd Badham. His sister received the devastating news earlier this year as she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 26. Please explore his facebook page below which explains the situation and also has links to his Just Giving page if your fell you can make donation. Up Ben Nevis and a 100 mile trek with 3 friends of his and they have smashed their £1000 target already. They are currently 2 days in and i am awaiting an update but as far as we currently know they are all well and in good spirits.
